web hosting
Reply:Build your website first, I'll tell you why:
Google has crawlers that search all kinds of websites, and if your website is up but you have an uner construction page, you'll be bookmarked as "under construction" and have way lower google and yahoo rankings. Also, web sites take a couple months to build (a good one) and why pay for 2 months of hosting you don't use? Hope this helps!

Reply:If you buy your domain through the web hosting company it is easier to set up and it usually costs a lot less. They can help you manage the site, host it, set up email and be a resource for help in general. The best company I have used is ITS, they have been very helpful and will get you the URL you want as a part of a reasonably priced hosting package. Plus you can call them and ask questions directly too. Most hosting companies never are available like that.
Reply:But your domain name and hosting first (check out http://www.yoserve.com )
Next put up a single holding page which is your index.html.
Then build your website - but call your frontpage something like indextemp.html - something only you know about, so you can see your website taking place, but the search engines don't see your pages until they are finished.
When you are happy with your web, rename your indextemp.html to index.html (and all the references) and your website will then be active and visible to the crawlers.
I use this technique all the time.
Reply:Well it really depends on how fast or how long you think it will take to build your website. If it'll only take a week or two, go ahead and purchase the web hosting; however, if you think it'll take you months to create your site, you might as well wait.
If you have any further questions, feel free to use my blog's contact me form to ask some questions, that's what our hosting company is all about, helping people succeed.
Take care and hope this was helpful.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI would recommend "Host Gator" for your web hosting because it's very cheap and reliable. Their support service is awesome. This company offers site building tools, application vault, web mail, antivirus, Php, MysQL ,e-commerce and hosts unlimited websites in one plan. Don't go for free web hosting. They are not reliable.
