Can sdome one tell me a free web hosting site that allows me to have my own domain name with out anything else
If there was a site that offer free domain names, they will be bombarded with requests from inexperienced teen web designers, and you know what'll happen next?
They will file for bankruptcy.
In other words-
There is a reason why there are no free domain names.
I've been following these types of questions for a while now, and no one has ever given a legitimate website that you can just sign up and they will give you a free domain name in 5 seconds.

no one is going to pay to have you register a domain name. you have to play for it yourself
Reply:there is no free domain name registrar, thats like asking where to get a free PO box.
Reply:Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a FREE domain. The best you can get is a sub-domain. But, off the top of my head, I can name a few really good free website creators.
My personal favourite is: http://www.weebly.com
Others include: http://www.bravenet.com
http://ca.geocities.yahoo.com
http://www.piczo.com
http://pages.google.com
http://spaces.live.com
And there are a lot more than that. Hopefully this helps.
Reply:You can go to http://officeliveoffers.com/Dell/default... for a free domain name though you would have to use a dell computer
Or you can go to http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/office... and sign up for free.
Reply:There is a list of free web sites here and I will add more as they are sent to me. But previous post are correct .. People who sell domains are resellers and also have to pay for the domain so they will not give names for free

Reply:If you currently are a web subscriber, your current provider offers a homepage into which you can FTP your current webpage(s) [which can be authored/designed using Composer [an authoring tool which is free when using Netscape browser], NotePad, MSN Word, FrontPage, DreamWeaver, etc.] and use the homepage hosting services. In a sense, you are hosting a commercial webpage via the homepage link and incurring merely the monthly access of, say, AOL.com, etc. Nevertheless, should you want to link your current domain name to the homepage URL, you'll need to use a third-party redirection service, i.e., mydomain.com [which is free] or simply direct your domain name registry, i.e., godaddy.com to forward your domain name [with masking] to the link it to your homepage URL. It's that simple.
Good luck!
