the local service is 'sign on San Diego' thanks!
How do I transfer my domain and hosting from Go Daddy to a local web hosting service?
When signing up for webhosting I have found that the new host transfers all data for you. Read the website of the new host and see what their terms are. Transfer takes about 24 to 48 hours and is painless.

Have them transfer it.

Is there a site that offers free web hosting with no banners?
Also should NOT require domain registration, forum posting or anything like that. Scripting and database access a BIG plus.
It can be invite-based, if you have an invitation to offer me.
Is there a site that offers free web hosting with no banners?
www.freewebs.com
Is there a site that offers free web hosting with no banners?
website hosting costs money. if they can't make money off you, why would they do it? They might do it for free now, but make you pay later.
Reply:There are plenty of cheap, reliable hosts out there. And I do mean cheap.
Stop being so tight, shell out a few coins and get all the things you want.
Remember- THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH!

Who can you trust to buy reseller web hosting accounts?
I been to many places online some offer to little for your money
ait.com-lousy service, steals money your atm card
godaddy-sucks too hard to do
hostgator-good service but get very small space and bandwidth
ebay-full of scammers
so who can u trust?
if i bought a dedicated server can i run it in my home?
About to give up these so called good companies just over sell
causes your site to crash need reliable, service #1 no matter the plan you pick.
Who can you trust to buy reseller web hosting accounts?
I'm not sure what your question is.
Domain names cost from about 10 to 30 US Dollars to register.
There are many domain hosting companies, about the only difference is there monthly cost. You must know how to produce your website using HTML, or other scripting such as JAVA and how to upload "FTP" your website onto the server. I Have been using USWDH for some time and that are about 50 US Dollars a year for their hosting service and I have received goos customer service from them.
Good luck

Dude i suggest that u better visit http://www.xekom.com and then go to the page where reseller hosting is listed out they have the list of the best reseller hosting companies there...and yes all the companies listed are reputed...good luck

Is there such a thing as free web hosting? including domain name?
because i am not comfortable handing over credit card deets and hey, who wants to pay for something they dont have to!
Is there such a thing as free web hosting? including domain name?
No. Well lets look at it this way. They company giving you free webhosting does bulk your website up with many things. Like in my case http://thetechhub.tripod.com/thetechhub/ is a website I made and given the fact it is on tripod I get many adverts on the screen. But then again you can direct more traffic to it and make some money from google ads.
I am just a college kid with a small company and cant afford web space so I went for the "free" web hosting service.
Is there such a thing as free web hosting? including domain name?
There is free web hosting but you'll have to put up with advertising of some sort.
Try this :
http://www.150m.com/
[I recommend it because I use it myself]
or you could use Yahoo!'s geocities.
Reply:No. And no online provider is stupid enough to offer both free domain name and website hosting and be expected to render quality support.
If you need support with what you want, be ready to pay.
Reply:No there is no such thing.
Don't worry about handing over the credit card. These are multimillion dollar companies. I've been hosting online for 10 years and never had a problem.

Reply:Hello,
Like what everyone has mentioned, a paid and a free hosting makes a lot of difference. There is no free lunch. Usually, there will be some drawbacks.
If you want to find free hosting, you can have a look at : http://www.freewebhostingarea.com/
If you change your mind and would want to go for paid ones, try this : http://www.exabytes.com/
Reply:you will never get free hosting + domain ,
you can however get free hosting and subdomain
for free hosting, try google superpages or yahoo geocities ,
its sort of free hosting, but you are limited to a subdomain on googlepages %26amp; geo has ads on your website - otherwise I would use http://www.interkeys.com/tophosts to get one for a few bucks a month with 500 GIG bandwidth and the rich with features
its up to you how developed a site you want and if you want to use your own domain name

Is it possible the get a free web hosting?
Yes, but if you go that route, the hosting company will place advertisements and banners on your site. You will have no control over what banners/advertisements and no control over where they are placed. That is the price you pay for free hosting. If you want something hosting for a small cost check out ipowerweb. You can get a great package, plus domain registration at a really cheap price.
Is it possible the get a free web hosting?
I'm not sure. I think it's important to get the "right" web hosting for your needs. What do you want to host? Do you need a web-based contact form that emails you? Yahoo! Small Business hosting does that for about $12/month (I've used them for years and am quite satisfied). I think GoDaddy has even cheaper plans if you don't need anything that fancy.
Is it possible the get a free web hosting?
Yes.
Reply:Yes, but most have adds and only allow around 10mb not quite as good I would suggest dot5hosting.com if you want paid 2ip.com for free or you can look up the one of your dreams at free-webhosts.com
Reply:It is VERY important to select the right host for your needs. Some maybe cheap, but do they actually give YOU what YOU want?

Reply:Begin with setting up your own webpage as your current internet provider will provide free hosting as discussed below.
If you are currently a paid Internet subscriber, you are entitled to a "homepage" which often contains simple navigation and editing tools. And if you use the Netscape browser, the built-in Composer feature is a superior HTML authoring tool which is totally free. You can easily generate a full-blown website as a Homepage.
Nevertheless, the "homepage" URL is likely to be "http://homepage.earthlink.com/subscribe... name" and that URL can easily be overwritten via a redirection service, i.e., "mydomain.com" which allows you to link any registered domain name to "mask" another website. For example, should you type in the "domain name," you will be immediately transported to the homepage and the hompage URL of http://homepage.earthlink.com/subscriber... a homepage URL which will be masked by the domain name. And the charge for the redirection service [even at godaddy.com] is normally FREE.
When you acquire a domain name, connect it using a redirection service [as discussed above] and submit/publish the domain name on major search engines/directories in order for Net surfers to find your website.
Good luck!
