If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.
I would like to suggest following webhosting , they are excellent.
Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukend...
They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 200000 MB (200 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer "a free Domain Name" and installing service called "Fantastico". By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer "Free Website Builder" as well.
Visit the site to check details.

What is the best company for web hosting?
You may try ...
www.bluehost.com - lots of internet marketers and bloggers from Asia (where I am from) are using them. They are US based company. Great 24/7 support.
www.hostgator.com - their unlimited domain names plans are pretty interesting too.
I personally used www.p4host.com as they are really cheap and I don't really need any fanciful stuff, it works great and never have any downtime. Their staff is friendly and for me they are just one YM message away all the time. :-)

What is the best site for web hosting and giving free domain or sub domain?
Yes. I'm on 110mb.com. They're a ad-free webhosting service and offer 2GB space. Have daily backups also. And truly one of the best online if you compare what they offer to even paid hosting providers. Read their homepage and 110mb.com/plans.php, then decide if they're what you're looking for.
You can have your own subdomain like: you.110mb.com, or your own domain like: www.you.com
I personally totally recommend them.

What is the phone number for web hosting help ?
To answer that, I would need the name of the host. Are you referring to geocities perhaps?
What kind of internet connection do internet companies like Yahoo or Godaddy, or web hosting companies have?
I know these companies would need huge bandwidth, so what kind of connection do these companies carry. Im sure it is more than T1. Is it possibly OC192 or bigger?

Which software is the best for web hosting... for servers.. PUBLIC?
please help.. thanks
Which software is the best for web hosting... for servers.. PUBLIC?
Apache for anything complicated, http://httpd.apache.org/
Lighttpd for anything simple. http://www.lighttpd.net/
Which software is the best for web hosting... for servers.. PUBLIC?
You mean you gonna build your own web server? Or, you are asking for web hosting company?
If you are going to build a web server, try using FreeBSD, its free and easy to maintain.
If you are looking for web hosting company, try HostForWeb.com they got great technical support and redundancy. You can avail of there shared or dedicated server for a reasonable cost.
Reply:OK, you don't know what you have done. This is like asking which is the best OS. Mac, Linux, or Windows.
I use and prefer Windows 2000 AS, but I also host 2 sites with XP Pro simply using IIs.
If you are hosting a site that will get a couple of dozen hits a day then a DSL or cable service with W2k Pro or Windows XP Pro running Apachy will do just fine. Provided there are not downloading of files.
I receive 50 to70 hi a day over 4 sites from a home cable connection of 8Mbps\768Kbps.
A few sites that will help. Good luck.

I am interested in using yahoo web hosting. is there anyone who can share their experiences?
please tell me whatever you can, need to know if the built in page designer is good or will I have to purchase one myself to upload to the site.
Whatever you know please share, also if you have created your site using the yahoo page builder If you can send me the link so I can take a peak I'll appreicate it.
Thanks!
I am interested in using yahoo web hosting. is there anyone who can share their experiences?
I have been with Yahoo since 2000, and are very happy with their service. Yahoo might be a little more then other web hosting services, but they are there 24/7, and you know they will be there in the future. The smaller operations might not be as highly capitalized and do not have the R %26amp; D that Yahoo has.
And as your needs change, they have the plans to work with you. The custom email service ($35- yr) is a great way to start.
Best of luck to you in your venture.
ps: what ever service you use, buy the domain name for at least 5 yrs, you can "take it with you" where ever if you own it outright.

Email me on the_g-lostrebels@hotmail.com
PS our cheapest hosting package comes in at 拢0.99 GBP for 1GB of webspace. With free domains.
Reply:Take it you are talking about the free vision at geocities which is owned by yahoo. You have to use their page builder will not accept FTD unless you have paid version. I started one but don't take care of it any more, turned it over to someone else couple months ago. geocities.com/philampost123 have fun you will like it.
